Launch of Nakuru Living Lab

On July 16, the Nakuru Living Lab will be officially launched. This celebration takes place at ACK Guest House, located along Nakuru Eldoret Highway.

Towards Regeneration and Inclusivity in Food Systems

Nakuru Living Lab is an initiative designed to foster co- creation in regenerative and inclusive practices for sustainable food systems in the County. The co-creation involving 3 actors (Enablers, Doers and Thinkers) innovate in real life situation (Living Lab). The goal in co-creations is to find solutions that restore degraded ecosystem and soil fertility, minimize depletion of natural resources, valorize wastes while improving the natural environment and ensuring fair income. Realization of these goals should bolster a transformation in the food systems towards a sustainable development.

Eight pioneering innovation cases

The Nakuru Living lab is pioneered by eight diverse innovation cases, co-creating in dairy products, quality potato seed, biomass recycling utilizing Black Soldier Fly, aquaculture products and community forestry harvesting non timber forest products.
