The Nakuru Living Lab has organized a field day for the innovation cases to show case various regenerative practices in production. Practices that will be show cased are production of black soldier flies, composting, and use of organic fertilizer, use of sunken bed for water conservation, growing companion crops for soil fertility and pest repellent, fodder crops that also conserves soil from erosion, raised fish ponds for efficient space use among others.
You can also expect to learn about post-harvest technologies like use of solar driers, steam driers in preservation of vegetables, use of solar powered pumps for irrigation, seed saving for the neglected crops among others.
Various organizations within Nakuru county working in the area of regenerative agriculture will be exhibiting.
