Fish processing facility

Greenthumb CBO an innovation case dealing with fish value addition has recently acquired a food grade processing facility. This was courtesy of East Africa Breweries Limited, Senator brand. The EABL spotted the innovation case after the members underwent training in fish value addition in KEMFRI, Sagana. The handover and opening ceremony was graced by various representatives from EABL, Nakuru Living Lab, county department of fisheries, the neighbouring community among others.

On the same note, Wanyororo dairy cooperatives through public private partnership have started milk value addition. The cooperative is now processing yoghurt and fermented milk, commonly referred to as ‘Mala’ with the brand name ‘Nakuru Fresh’.
